L. A. Lawrence, partly adapted from C. Müller and W. Sieglin (see pg.viii–ix of the Loeb edition)
The map is taken from the frontispiece of Horace Leonard Jones' translation of Strabo: "The Geography of Strabo." Volume I, Loeb Classical Library. William Heinemann, London; G. P. Putman's Sons, New York. 1917 (online). According to H. L. Jones, it was drawn by L. A. Lawrence, Cornell University, partly adapted from C. Müller and W. Sieglin (see pp. viii–ix).
According to a search of sources at Cornell, there seems to have been only one L.A. Lawrence at Cornell at that time, namely, Leonard Alexander Lawrence, 1881–1947, from 1907 on at Cornell, Assistant Professor of Topographic and Geodetic Surveying (memorial statement by Cornell University, Office of the Dean of the University Faculty).
